Review: “This 2003 VINSANTO (500ml) is Assyrtiko with 30% Aidani added in. This has become fairly pricey. I wouldn't be surprised if we see an uptick in most Vinsanto prices, considering the difficulty in making it and the minor detail that it is one of Greece˘s world class wine categories, but at the moment this is getting up there. Pricing issues aside, I fear I underrated this the first time around, for whatever reason. The first bottle was a bit mute. This one sang beautifully. With a little time in the cellar, it has developed a beautiful toffee aromatic. It is very sweet-this is not for the shy-and gloriously so. Yet, it is never cloying as the wine has brilliant acidity, which helps its succulent, mouthwatering finish deliver waves of flavor to the palate. It drank nicely over several days. There were 1,150 cases produced. Drink now-2023"
