Concert of the Athens Symphony Youth Orchestra in Santorini

The winter cultural program of the Municipality of Thera, which is part of the “Santorini, all year round” initiative begins with the concert of the Athens Symphony Youth Orchestra on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 20:00 at Belloneio Cultural Center in Fira.

The Athens Symphony Youth Orchestra was created both as a musical ensemble and a non-profit society in 1998 by various enlightened parents, professional musicians, conservatory and university teachers with one specific goal in mind: to train young musicians in the orchestral repertory and further cultivate their artistic growth.

The concert will include Symphony Introduction “Coriolanus” by Beethoven, Concerto for Violin and Orchestra by Mozart and the Agreement “of the surprise (Surprise)” Haydn.

Theodore Mouzakitis is a soloist in violin, the head violin of the Orchestra.

Antonis Prekas from Santorini is also a member of the orchestra, as part of the first violins.

The orchestra is conducted by Mr. Paul Sergiou.
