8th Santorini Film Festival: “We’re Not Really Strangers”

Kamari Open-Air Cinema | July 19 – 20, 2025

The 8th Santorini Film Festival (SFF) returns to the island with two evenings of thought-provoking cinema under the stars. This year’s theme, “We’re Not Really Strangers”, puts the spotlight on human relationships, exploring how empathy, solidarity, and compassion shape our connection to others.

Amid global turbulence and environmental uncertainty, as recently experienced in Santorini itself, the festival invites us to pause and reflect on what truly matters. The theme is both a statement and a reminder: that even in our differences, we’re not really strangers.

The 2025 program features 17 international and Greek short and feature films, selected for their emotional depth and social relevance.
