The wineries of Greece are opening their doors on the weekend of May 17-18, inviting wine lovers and wine tourism enthusiasts to immerse themselves in captivating aromas and flavors.
This festive spring event, known as “Open Doors”, is organized collectively by the country’s Wine Producers’ Associations and their member wineries that are open to visitors.
During this special weekend, wine enthusiasts will have the opportunity to explore the Wine Routes of Greece and participate in various activities, including guided tours and wine tastings.
“Open Doors“ at Santorini Wineries
At this time of year, Santorini’s wineries are already operating at full capacity, welcoming visitors (some except Sundays) who wish to explore their premises and taste unique wines made from Assyrtiko, Aidani, and other grape varieties from the Santorini vineyard.
Here’s a glimpse of what some of Santorini’s wineries are planning for this year’s “Open Doors” event:

OENO P Winery in Baxedes, Oia, will be open from 13:00 to 20:00, offering a free tour of the amphora space and a 20% discount on wine tastings.

Santo Wines in Pyrgos will offer free guided tours at 13:30, 14:30, and 16:30, along with a tasting of three wines (Assyrtiko, Nykteri, Kameni).

At Mikra Thira Winery on Thirassia, visitors can enjoy free guided tours and tastings of three wines at scheduled times (09:00, 10:30, 12:00, 13:30, and 15:00).
