Désirs de Voyages magazine recommends Santorini to the French audience

The July – August 2025 issue of Désirs de Voyages, France’s leading luxury travel and lifestyle magazine, features a special six-page tribute to Santorini.

The feature was written by travel editor Magali Frère, who visited the island in early May as part of a press trip organized by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) office in France, with the support of the Municipality of Thira.

Titled “The Best of Santorini – The Stunning Island of the Cyclades,” the article explores the luxurious, wellness-oriented, and authentic experiences the island has to offer. It also highlights the island’s renowned gastronomy and exceptional local wines, presenting Santorini as a destination of taste and elegance for French travelers.

“It is undoubtedly the most famous of the Cyclades, the ultimate postcard-perfect island. With its volcanic beaches, black and ochre cliffs, and tiny whitewashed villages perched on high peaks, it resembles no other,” the writer notes.
