3 new International flights for United Airlines – including Athens, Greece

The American airline United Airlines adds three new destinations to its network of international flights this summer. From July 1, the company will operate services from Washington Dulles Airport to Athens, from Newark Liberty to Dubrovnik, Croatia, and from Chicago O’Hare to Reykjavik, Iceland.

The addition of these new routes reflects growing interest from United customers last month, based on searches on United.com for flights to Croatia, Greece and Iceland, which rose by 61%. Travelers can book their reservations today through United.com and the United mobile app.

The company’s Travel-Ready Center app allows its customers to upload documents they have about their vaccination or Covid-19 test and validate them before check-in to receive their boarding pass before they arrive at the airport.

United’s daily flights to Athens are expected to start on July 1st and will continue until October 3rd. This is the first time that there will be direct flights from Washington to Athens on a daily basis. The flights will be operated by Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

The new Athens-Washington route is added to United’s existing daily summer route from New York (Newark Liberty Airport) to Athens, which returns on June 3.
