A new daily schedule has been put into effect for the Akrotiri Archaeological Site, the Archaeological Museum and Ancient Thera. The aforementioned sites are eventually closed on Tuesdays, instead of Mondays, as laid down in a recent decision by the Ministry of Culture and Sports. The Museum of Prehistoric Thera will continue to be closed on Tuesdays as it used to.
The Ministry of Culture proceded with this change for all of the country’s museums, following the European practices in order to enhance short-term (city break) and long weekend tourism.
Thus, the opening hours and ticket prices for all Santorini museums for the winter season (until 31/3) are as follows:
