27 medals in total for the wines of Santorini
It was another great medal harvesting year for the wines of Santorini, according to Decanter World Wine Awards 2018, which were announced a few days ago.
The competition is considered to be one of the most important and prestigious worldwide and is a reference point for oenophiles around the world.
Altogether, the wines from Santorini received 27 awards, among which the most important of the competition. The Assyrtiko 2016 from A. Karamolegos Winery received one of the 50 “Platinum – Best in Show” medals, the only one to be awarded to a Greek wine!
