Final countdown for the Volcanoes Festival 2018!

We are just one day before the volcanoes festival (Ifestia Festival) of 2018, with the main fireworks event expected to start tomorrow, the 15th of September 2018, at 20:30. The previous years the show lasted for about 40 minutes, with visitors from all over the world gathered in the cliff-side of Fira to enjoy the rare view. Like the previous years, cruise companies have modified their sunset cruises to include the viewing of the fireworks show near the Nea Kameni island where it takes place. If you are in Santorini, make sure you book a table either at a restaurant that has a view of the volcano, or one of the cruises that still have availability!

Our Cruise Suggestion:

As one by one the cruise companies are getting full, the large and luxurious fleet of Caldera Yachting still has some availability for the event. The program for the event will start at 17:00 and includes stopping one time to swim, have full dinner at the Black Mountain on the catamaran, enjoy a magnificent sunset and head to the spot where you will be watching the fireworks from, away from the crowds one the cliff-side. The transfers, food and drinks are included in the total rate of 200 euros per person. They will also be providing towels but do take something warm with you to wear after the sun sets. After the end of the show, you will head back to Vlyhada at about 22:00.
