38 medals for the Santorini wines at the Wine Competition of Thessaloniki

An impressive harvest of medals for the wines of Santorini at this year’s International Wine & Spirits Competition held in Thessaloniki on February 19th-21st. Overall Santorini won 38 medals: 6 gold (4 of which were awarded to vinsanto), 11 silver and 21 bronze. In particular:

As every year, in this year’s competition, 25 distinguished connoisseurs from Greece and abroad, Masters of Wine, oenologists, sommeliers, journalists and other wine professionals, conducted tastings at five tables, tasting 865 samples in total. In addition, this year each table included an associate judge. 831 samples were wines from Greece, Brazil, Cyprus, Bulgaria and France, while 34 distillates originated in Greece and Cyprus.
