Boutari winery, located in Megalochori, started exploring winemaking opportunities on Santorini at the end of the 1980s. The first harvest at our winery next to the traditional village of Megalochori was in 1989. For the past 30 years, they brought great experience and innovative thinking to Santorini’s viticultural community by setting new quality standards for harvest and wine production, applied winemaking practices unknown before on the island, and educated a lot of Santorini’s successful winemakers.
