About the Calendar
This calendar, the eighth in the series of art calendars by Artemis Chatzigiannaki, accompanies, along with other events, her new solo painting exhibition titled “Theraic Rituals,” which will be held from August 23 to October 24, 2025, at the “D. Nomikos Tomato Industrial Museum” in Vlychada, Santorini. The exhibition is curated by archaeologist Lefteris Zorzos and architect Nina Georgiadou, with contributions from writer and journalist Nikos Vatopoulos.
The exhibition and all the accompanying events are held with the support of the Municipality of Thera and are part of the initiative “Santorini 2025: A Year of Promoting and Supporting Authenticity.”
The calendar includes twelve paintings by Artemis Chatzigiannaki, each accompanied by a short explanatory text, a foreword by the Mayor of Thira, Nikos Zorzos, and texts by Nikos Vatopoulos, Lefteris Zorzos, and Nina Georgiadou.
The English translation is by Georgios Georgiadis.
