Wine maker’s notes
Well-ripened grapes from the privately owned vineyard of Ag. Marina which is adjacent to the caldera of Santorini and is located next to the winery, they were harvested on September 2 and after static de-liming 24 hours driven in an oak tank (foudre) of 2 tons and followed slowly fermentation with selected yeasts at a low temperature that lasted 32 days. Then the wine remained with the lees for 8 months and bottled in July 2022.
Bright golden yellow color. Expressive nose with aromas of peels citrus fruit dominated by grapefruit, pear, peach, honeysuckle, and hints of yeast. In the mouth, it appears rich with mild minerality. Beautiful balance between the expression of the fruit and the smooth buttery feel that surrounds her. Sharp as a typical Santorini Assyrtiko. The aftertaste is of moderate intensity and good duration.

About Venetsanos Winery
Venetsanos winery is located right above the port of Athinios, overlooking the magnificent caldera of Santorini. The Venetsanos family has a very long tradition in producing wine. Originally was produced for the island and subsequently, it was exported extensively, and particularly to countries such as Russia. It was built in 1947 by Venetsanos family and became the first industrial winery on the island.
