About the Vinsanto 1974
Born from a harvest of exceptional potential and shaped by half a century of slow, oxidative aging, the 1974 Vinsanto is described by critics as a “nearly indestructible” wine and a true Santorini beauty.
Sourced from centuries-old vines in the heart of Episkopi, the fruit was sun-dried for fourteen days, ensuring the wine’s eternal longevity and concentration. Decades of maturation in the estate’s deep cellars have refined its texture into liquid silk, creating a profound harmony between its deep sweetness and a surprising level of freshness that stems from the wine’s natural acidity.
The aromatic profile is remarkably rich, offering a complex array of molasses, caramel toffee, and hazelnut paste, layered with notes of maple syrup and cookie crumble, perfectly countered by the tartness of plum and persimmon.
