Wine Maker’s Notes
With roots on the island of Santorini since 1870, the Koutsogiannopoulos family has built a legacy of winemaking excellence that spans five generations.
Grape Composition: 100% Assyrtiko
Carefully selected parcels from some of the island’s finest vineyard areas, mainly Exo Gialos, Vlychada, Monolithos, Vourvoulos, and Akrotiri. The grapes undergo skin contact for 3 to 4 days. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks under controlled conditions, with gradually increasing temperatures. The wine remains in the tanks for 6 months before bottling.
Tasting Notes:
Medium golden color with orange highlights. A distinctive style of Assyrtiko that reveals aromas of red apple, quince, overripe citrus, and stone fruits, along with hints of honey and hay. Rich and full-bodied on the palate, with a soft dry extract and a long, persistent finish. An elegant match not only with white meats and seafood but also with red meats with light sauces. Best enjoyed at 10-12°C.
