Wine Maker’s Notes
With roots on the island of Santorini since 1870, the Koutsogiannopoulos family has built a legacy of winemaking excellence that spans five generations.
Grape Composition: 100% Assyrtiko
Carefully selected vineyard plots, over 60 years old, from top-quality areas of the island, mainly in Messaria, Vourvoulos, and Akrotiri. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks under controlled conditions with gradually increasing temperatures. The wine then ages on fine lees for 3 months.
Tasting Notes:
Pale lemon in color with greenish highlights. A classic expression of Assyrtiko, showing notes of citrus fruits, white flowers, white-fleshed stone fruits, and a distinct minerality. Excellent structure, creamy yet crisp, with a long and persistent finish. Perfectly matches with a range of first courses and salads as well as entrees of fish, seafood, cheese as well as meats with white sauces. Best enjoyed at 10-12°C.
